1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RepCheck (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

RepCheck is an AI-powered luxury product authentication screening tool. The Service analyses photographs of luxury products using artificial intelligence and provides an assessment of likely authenticity based on visual markers. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for informational and screening purposes only.

3. Important Disclaimer — Not Professional Authentication

RepCheck is a preliminary screening tool and does not constitute professional authentication.

Our AI analysis is based on visual assessment of photographs only. No photograph-based analysis — whether performed by AI or a human expert — can provide absolute certainty regarding the authenticity of a luxury product. Factors including image quality, lighting, angle, and the evolving sophistication of counterfeit manufacturing mean that visual analysis has inherent limitations.

RepCheck results (including authenticity scores, verdicts, and analyses) represent probability assessments, not guarantees. A "Likely Genuine" result does not certify authenticity. A "Likely Replica" result does not definitively prove an item is counterfeit.

For high-value transactions, we strongly recommend physical inspection by an authorised dealer, professional authentication services, verification of provenance documentation, and serial number verification with the manufacturer.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RepCheck, its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

  • Purchasing decisions made based on RepCheck analysis
  • Financial losses resulting from reliance on RepCheck results
  • Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading authentication assessments
  • Service interruptions, errors, or unavailability
  • Any actions taken or not taken based on RepCheck reports

You acknowledge that you use RepCheck at your own risk and that authentication results should not be your sole basis for any purchasing or selling decision.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not upload images containing illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the Service
  • Not use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
  • Not use RepCheck results to fraudulently misrepresent counterfeit goods as genuine
  • Understand and accept the limitations of AI-based authentication

6. Intellectual Property

All content, technology, branding, and materials on RepCheck — including but not limited to the AI models, authentication databases, website design, text, and graphics — are the property of RepCheck and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

7. Subscription Plans & Payment

RepCheck offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans will be billed monthly through our payment processor. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Free tier usage limits reset monthly. Unused checks do not carry over between months.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or modify the Service at any time for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. We are not liable for any losses caused by service unavailability.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RepCheck, its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
